Ebony Blade
A two-handed blade that absorbs 10 health a hit. It grows by killing people who trust you, up to 30 after ten of them.
Where to get it
Taken from behind the whispering door in the basement of Dragonsreach during The Whispering Door.
Found in Whiterun.
Can be missed
Only Hulda's rumour at the Bannered Mare starts the quest. If she dies before telling you, the door never opens.
Quests
- The Whispering Door: Finish Dragon Rising and reach level 20, then ask Hulda at the Bannered Mare in Whiterun for rumours. Asking Jarl Balgruuf about his children does not start it. Reward: Ebony Blade.
