Skyrim – HundoDex

Child of Oblivion

A horror story in a cursed noble mansion: lift its blood curses one by one while something terrible stalks the halls.

  • Questline: New Lands – Vigilant: Act III
  • Given by: Gwyneth

How to start

Back at the Temple of Stendarr, ask Gwyneth for news.

Objectives

  • Talk to Gwyneth, then take the wagon to Bruiant Mansion.
  • Talk to the Bard outside and go in.
  • Break the Blood Curse of Shivers.
  • Break the Blood Curse of Corruption.
  • Get into Julius' room, then down to the basement.
  • Break the Blood Curse of Froth.
  • Find the key to Bartholo's room and break the Blood Curse of Chains.
  • Break the Blood Curse of Jealousy.
  • Set Julius free, and defeat him.
  • Escape from the mansion.
  • Die in the flames as a martyr, or accept Molag Bal's help.

Can be missed

Reports differ on the martyr option: one wiki says it changes nothing, another says it wipes your inventory. Save before choosing. A translated wiki adds that talking to Orlando at the mansion's other entrance skips the act.

Good to know

Save before the last choice – what martyrdom costs you is unclear.
