Haafingar
The mountainous north-west coast around Solitude, seat of the Imperial Legion in Skyrim, with smugglers' caves and shipwrecks along the shore.
- Ruled by: Jarl Elisif the Fair
- Capital: Solitude
Places
- Blackbone Isle (Anniversary Edition) – Landmark: Haunted island added by the Dead Man's Dread creation. The quest The Restless takes you into its grotto, and the undead-crewed ship there can become a player home afterwards.
- Blue Palace – Landmark: Jarl Elisif's palace in Solitude, which has a map marker of its own. Sybille Stentor teaches Destruction up to Expert here.
- Brinewater Grotto – Cave: Small cave north of Solitude whose inner chambers stay closed until Scoundrel's Folly. Enter from the East Empire Company Warehouse for that quest, as the lighthouse-side entrance does not advance it.
- Broken Oar Grotto – Cave: Small cave north of Solitude held by Captain Hargar and his Blackblood Marauders. The Smithing skill book Cherim's Heart is inside, and Lights Out! is linked to the cave. Finish Ahtar's quest before killing Hargar, or it becomes unavailable.
- Castle Volkihar (Dawnguard) – Guild hall: Island fortress of the Volkihar vampire clan under Lord Harkon, and the setting for Bloodline. Once you belong to the family, Fura Bloodmouth trains Two-handed to Master and Ronthil trains Speech to Expert.
- Castle Volkihar Balcony (Dawnguard) – Landmark: The castle's second map marker, a fast-travel point added the first time you use the outside door in Valerica's study. It counts as a separate location for Locations Discovered.
- Clearpine Pond – Clearing: Pond with a small island west-south-west of Solitude, guarded by spriggans that cannot cross the water. A dead alchemist on the island carries the Alchemy skill book De Rerum Dirennis.

- Lost Echo Cave – Cave: Small Falmer and chaurus cave west of Solitude. The One-handed skill book 2920, Morning Star, v1 is inside and Double-Edged is the linked quest. Its game data files it under Falkreath Hold.
- Lower Steepfall Burrow – Cave: The lower entrance of Steepfall Burrow, listed with a map marker of its own.
- Northwatch Keep – Fort: Thalmor-run jail fort north-west of Dragon Bridge, off limits to others. Missing in Action sends you in to free Thorald Gray-Mane, and the Two-handed skill book The Legendary Sancre Tor is inside.
- Orphan's Tear – Shipwreck: Wrecked ship on the northern coast west of Ravenscar Hollow, held by three bandits. With the Dead Man's Dread creation installed, the boat here sails to Blackbone Isle.

- Pinemoon Cave – Cave: Small vampire lair north-west of Dragon Bridge, east of Volskygge. The Illusion skill book Incident at Necrom is on a table by the cage in the bedroom.

- Statue to Meridia – Daedric shrine: Meridia's shrine west of Solitude, which starts The Break of Dawn if you have not begun it. A word wall a short way uphill to the north-east teaches Dun (Grace) of Elemental Fury, though it can fail to respond until you reload or fast travel away and back.
